Customer Onboarding Process
Kalibrate is encouraging its customers to take advantage of the Data API to create their own analytics, visualizations, and reports by consuming data from the Data API.
To support this, Kalibrate has designed an onboarding process to help guide customers to develop against the Kalibrate Data API specification, and to ensure the production readiness of external third-party developments.
At a high level, the initial onboarding process is as follows:
- Customer requests API access
- Kalibrate validates API pre-requisites and issues Sandpit connection details
- Customer performs development activities against the Sandpit environment
- Customer requests development review
- Kalibrate performs development review and approves for UAT (If applicable)*
- Customer and Kalibrate agree UAT go-ahead (If applicable)*
- Kalibrate performs initial UAT bulk data load (If applicable)*
- Kalibrate enables UAT data sync (If applicable)
- Customer and Kalibrate agree UAT readiness (If applicable)*
- Kalibrate issues UAT credentials (If applicable)*
- Customer performs Data API UAT (If applicable)*
- Customer and Kalibrate agree PROD readiness go/no go (If applicable)*
- Kalibrate perform initial PROD bulk data load
- Kalibrate enables PROD data sync
- Customer and Kalibrate review and approve “go-live”
*Steps 16 - 23 are only applicable if a customer API UAT environment is included in their contract.
Periodically, Kalibrate may introduce “breaking changes” to the API specification that may require some customer re-development. While this is intended to be a rare occurrence, Kalibrate will maintain the previous version of the API for up to six months after the “breaking change” is released into production”.
This will allow customers to amend their systems to implement against the latest API version.
The re-development process should largely follow the initial customer onboarding process although some steps may be abbreviated or omitted completely depending on the impact of the upgrade.
Further information on the onboarding process will be available to customers making a formal request for Data API Access to be enabled; please contact your Kalibrate Pricing Client Services representative for details.
