Customer Environments
Kalibrate will implement and support a number of Data API environments as part of the Data API implementation:
Non-production environments
Customer Development Environment (Sandpit)
Kalibrate’s sandpit environment is a customer facing development environment that contains a limited set of anonymous data. It is designed to allow customers to develop their reporting and analytic capabilities against a working Data API Endpoint.
This is a shared environment which is updated with data periodically to simulate the normal working processes of the Kalibrate Pricing product.
During the onboarding process, Kalibrate will create a developer credential for the requesting customer, and issue this along with URLs and an onboarding guide to support the process of customer development.
User Acceptance Testing (UAT) - Available upon request. Additional Fees Apply.
A User Acceptance Testing environment will be deployed in each of Kalibrate’s supported regions, alongside that region’s production environment.
The UAT environment is designed to operate exactly like “production”, in that the UAT database will contain customer specific data in isolated customer data partitions.
This will require a bulk data load from a customer’s Kalibrate Pricing UAT environment, to verify connectivity and to support the testing and verification of analytics and reporting software developed against the Sandpit environment.
Once the UAT bulk data is loaded, data synchronization will be enabled to allow data to flow normally between the customer database and the Data API database.
UAT credentials will be issued to customers to allow access to the UAT data stored in the shared UAT environment.
Production environments
One production environment will be deployed in each of the Kalibrate regions to support our customers within that region.
The Production database will contain customer specific data in isolated customer data partitions.
Implementing the Production API environment will require a bulk data load from a customer’s Kalibrate Pricing PROD environment.
Once the PROD bulk data is loaded, data synchronization will be enabled to allow data to flow normally between the customer SQL database and the Data API database.
Access to production will be dependent on both of the following:
- The completion of the onboarding process
- A signed agreement of the Kalibrate Data API usage terms and conditions
